Time to relax and let yourself be loved; your “massage” starts…now. Some time ago I bought this children’s book about the names of God, intending to use it with my two kids for devotions, yet I found that the book was also ministering to me. One of the names of God we covered was Elohim, which means “Creator.”
Let me ask you a question: What if you had the opportunity to view one of the paintings of a famous artist up close and personal, such as that of Leonardo da Vinci? Would you stand in awe, as you gazed at every detail of the Mona Lisa – or whichever painting – and be fascinated by the fact that you were in the very presence of such a renowned masterpiece? I think I would be.
And then what if alongside Leonardo’s painting was one of a lesser known artist? Would your perspective on, or respect of Leonardo’s painting vis-à-vis the other painting be different? I know I would most likely hold Leonardo’s painting in higher regard, simply because of who created it.
Isaiah 64:8 (AMP) says Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our Potter, And we all are the work of Your hand. Psalm 139:13-14 says 13For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. 14I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.
Now let’s bring bring things a bit closer to home: Take a look at yourself in the mirror (if you’re at home you can go do it now – I’ll wait for you 😉 Hold up your hands and look at them in wonder, and say to yourself: The King of the universe made me! Based on his great reputation, the quality of his work is superb. This means that I am someone really, really special!
